The Calvin Preston Foundation is a nonprofit organization. We dedicate our efforts to empowering families affected by cancer.
Our goal is to support families affected by limited resources; with children battling cancer. Together with our community we provide support, and basic needs, groceries, toys, and gifts during the holidays.
Together we get to uplift families, bring joy and spread smiles to many facing the battle of their life.
The Calvin Preston Foundation was born from a thought Calvin had back in 2013 during chemo treatment. While hospitalized Calvin who was only seven; realized there was many kids dealing with cancer like he was, and decided he needed to help. "We need to give toys to the kids, it will help make them happier while they're sick". He said.
Months prior, Calvin had been diagnosed with blood cancer at the age of six. What happened the next eleven months was a blur of endless treatments, chemo, lengthly hospitalizations, countless procedures and a stem cell transplant. Unfortunately, it was not enough. Shortly after, Calvin passed away in his mother's arms on March 2014, surrounded by love. Calvin was only seven years old.
We know too well the pain and discomfort pediatric oncology families face, which is why we are vested in giving back to families in need.
Together we are changing the world; one child at a time!
